Ive started m locs and their really small. i think they look cute but since my hair is growing in and im not good at twisting them it looks like one big furball. i do some modeling for sidework and i was thinking of cornrowing my locs down, putting a wig cap over and putting a lace wig on top. just for events. do you think that would be possible or do you think it would look bulky? i mean i love my hair i do, but its stating not to look profesional

oh its possible. When I had locks last year I wore wigs over my locks however be mindful that you need a stocking cap and spandex silk one would be perfect to cover them. I did have an issue with unraveling. You can try it I'm going to have to do it for work once I lock in a couple of weeks.

a chick named barbadian261 made a stocking cap wig out of Bohemian curl you would have never guessed she had locs Big smile

I have had my SL for 7 months. Thru the weekdays @ work, I wear a wig. Just b/c im not comfortable with the length. Yes I agree poster who said to wear a stocking cap. Use one to protect them from damage and it keeps the wig from looking bulky imo.

Yeah I don't see any problem with a cap either, only thing I would watch for is the unraveling. cornrowing them is certainly going to keep them compact . did you start with comb coils? twist? or braid locs?

I've done this. It helped me feel very comfortable with myself when I was going through the baby stages of the locking process. I laid my locs down as flat as possible (the were about 3 inches long at the time) and put a wig cap on top of them and I was off! People actually thought it was my real hair. I was a PCA at a hospital at the time and I did that until one of my patients pulled my wig lol
