once i really sat down and took a look at my products in an attempt to fix my hair, i realized i had no clue about my hair! I had more questions than answers. I had not seen it in its natural state my entire life, no wonder what i was doing was wrong. I took back charge right then. Shaved it clean off and started over. Best thing I have ever done, because if nothing else I finally know & understand me, now thats love.

My main reason for going natural was because I always wore full sew ins and I found it pointless to relax my hair if no one is ever going to see it. So it was natural for a year and grew a ton and I loved it, but my mom hated it and see said if I relaxed it she'd pay for my extensions lol so I relaxed it, but now I'm upset that it's relaxed. The thing I hated about not being relaxed though was relaxed girls telling me that I NEED a relaxer (well my mom said that too). I don't mind relaxers at all. I just think relaxed hair is harder to take care of and keep up and I'm too lazy which is why right now part of my hair is relaxed and part isn't because I haven't relaxed it again since my mom bought me those extensions, and I don't really plan on relaxing it again. I also don't like how thin my hair gets when relaxed. It doesn't get as thin as some because I have thick hair to begin w/ but I like thick straight hair, so I might as well just straighten my natural hair even though it's more work but it looks better.

I wouldn't say my hair was really damaged but the continued use of relaxers didn't help my dry scalp.
