I starting working out and I sweat like crazy. I was reading up on how to maintain relaxed hair while working out and the article suggested PH balance shampoo and protein conditioners. Does anyone know of any brands that I can buy from the store???

Try shampoos for coloured hair, they correct phosphorus hair and sort out the PH

I recently purchased me some PH balanced shampoo from puritan, the smell is not the best as I can tell it is all natural ingredients, and it's not a well known brand but I did purchase it since it's natural and according to what I have heard and seen here based on biotin vitamins.

Since I don't like taking pills often I found me some shampoo containing biotin.

But you should be able to find you some PH balanced Shampoos and conditioners at your local beauty Supply.

Ask them to recommend you some.

I should have gotten the one of that page but instead I got the one made by the company itself, but on my next trip I will try that one.

Joico (I rec the moisture recovery line), Elucence (love the moisture acidifying shampoo- it's also chelating which is useful for people who live in areas with hard water which can make hair stiff and discolored), and L'anza (this one's a bit $$$) are all pH balanced.

A lower pH keeps your hair cuticle smooth and tight so that it doesn't lose excess moisture and natural oils, whereas as a higher pH raises the cuticle and can cause your hair to 'catch' on to other strands (causing tangles), lose moisture (giving it that stripped feeling), and feel rough. I know you said you're relaxed, but for anyone who's natural- it helps your curls stay clumped together and stretched.

hth!

L'Oreal makes a good line of ph balanced shampoos, they're quite a popular hair care product
