Topic: Twist Challenge II (August - September) - CLOSED! Posted: Aug 07 2011 at 11:59pm |
Hi ladies,
Anyone interested in doing another twist challenge from now until the end of September? I love twists! I have definitely seen a lot of growth retention with this style.
Rules are the same as the first Twists Challenge - keep your hair twisted for at least 5 days out of a 7 day week.
If you are in braids, but would like to join the challenge, come on in.
We end on September 30.
Let me know!

I'm interested. I have been wearing my hair in twists for three weeks. I'm hoping to retain some length. 1. Starting length My hair is 1.5 inches away from apl
2. State of Hair (e.g., relaxed, natural) Natural
3. If natural, how long you have been natural (including transitioning time) February 14, 2009
4. Reggie for your twists (inluding products that you use) I made my own moisturizing leave in consisting of glycerin, aphogee protein leave in, water and sweet almond oil. I use it to moisturize my twists every 2-3days. I cowash or wash and condition once a week followed by an oil rinse. Products are sulfate free condish from walmart, shea moisture shea butter shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner, suave conditioner and aphogee deep moisture shampoo
5. Biggest "challenge" for this challenge Retaining length and trying to minimize knots I get on the ends of my twists.

If I decide I wanted to wear like the cinnabun twist style, does that count as my hair being out or does that count as a twisted style

eh why not join again! Hey HeavyRotation! 1. Starting length: Little bit past Cbl in the back and a little bit past chin in the front
2. State of Hair (e.g., relaxed, natural) Natural
3. If natural, how long you have been natural (including transitioning time) Idk, about 5 years?
4. Reggie for your twists (inluding products that you use) Still perfecting this, but I am going to washing 2-3 times a week in regular twists
5. Biggest "challenge" for this challenge: Keeping my hair twisted and seeing growth. 1. its takes a long time for me to twist my hair and in the length challenge I retained more than I saw growth(I think I saw growth but I have to cut the growth off from splits but I am glad I retained!)

Reggie for your twists (inluding products that you use) use little product and dont touch hair very much. thats the plan. 5.
