Hi ladies! I would love to join this challenge!!! I have been relaxed free for about 2 years and I am 100% natural (with a itty bit of relaxed ends still ).
At the beginning of the year I made a challenge for myself to keep my hair in twists to protect my ends and achieve the most retention. Last weekend I tool out my twists (had them in from jan 31 to mar 19). Currently lettin ma hair breathe but plan on making an appt soon!

YAY! I'm excited, this is me...
State of hair: Natural
Starting length: 1" past my collar bone
Desired goal from challenge: to reach APL...any retention is good enough for me!!!!!
Brief regimen while in twists: idk yet*
Type of twists: Sengelese Twists with extenstions
I am also taking Hairfinity, is there anyone else here taking any vitamns?
*typically when I have twists I just use a refresher...I do not know if I could wash my twists, and if I can how to properly do it with out making it frizzy since I am using extenstions
Here is some hair history...
I had my last relaxer Nov 2009 and finally decided to go natural in the beginning of 2010! Because I have an obsession with long hair I opt out of a BC and was a long term transitioner!

I am in ladies. I have a set of extension twists in for about 3 weeks. I planned on keeping them in for 8 weeks. Then I will twist my natural hair for the remaining challenge.
State of hair: Natural
Length of hair: 14 inches
Goal length: 30 inches
Regimine: wash weekly, apply castor/coconut oil daily to scalp, sulphur oil mix every 3 days.
I also take a multi vitamin and biotin supplement.
My secret weapon 80oz of water daily make your hair grow like crazy!
Will post pictures as soon as I can. Happy Growing!

Here is my tip for the week: To stimulate my scalp and the oils. I lightly spray my scalp with purfied water thats enhanced with minerals massage it in. room temperature water, not cold. I seat under the dryer for 10 mins to open my pores. Then I massage in coconut/castor oil and seat under the dryer for another 10mins. This stimulates your scalp while providing nourishment and really makes your hair achieve maximum growth.
Happy Growing everybody

Hey RT,
Does this challenge start Fri ? If yes, I'll pass on the challenge. I'm lazy now & will not twist my hair this week.
If the start date is later--let me know because I think I'll jump in the ring.

^^^ I don't think it will be a hard set date of tomorrow. Because I see some ladies will start like next week when they get new installs and whatnot. But thats my two cents.
