Hi

I am planning to grow my relaxed hair out as it has dropped out quite a bit.  I plan to have it in cane rows, just my own  hair and wear a wig to cover it.  I dont want to do extensions last time i did that, i looked like bob marley it doesn't suite me.

I just want some advice, in particular, the wigs.  I am looking to get two wigs, one for when i am riding my bike and every day one. and a decent one - preferably real hair.  Looking for a curl style for more body for the latter and just a synthetic maybe straighter one for riding my bike as i do sweat sometimes.

I don't know about this lace front or any other kind of wig so i am a complete newbie to wigs.  Do i need to use some type of cap over my own hair, especially with this cold weather, i would assume good to keep the cold out a bit.

I have had my hair in cornrows before so nothing new to me.

Hope someone can give some good advice.

I live in UK

Hello hun! first let me say welcome to the lace wig family! i am a college student wearing lace wigs (synthies) and i am growing out my natural hair now!

1. Do i need a wig cap?
A: Yes! Preferably a brown wig cap if you care to show a little "scalp". A wig cap keeps heat and as well as your wig on your head! You can get them at any beauty supply store from $.99 - $2.99! Usually comes with two in a pack!

Wig advice:
You want a curly wig? I noticed that curly synthies are less work than human curly wigs. The ting is tho: a synthie curly can not be combed if you want it to last long. Brushing usually does better than combing synthetic hair. Usually when i wash my synthie wigs, i use a cond. that has plenty of cones in it. This keeps the synthie looking nice. I spray some wig spray to keep it looking nice.
Now if you want a human wig, i suggest glueless since you might be sweating. it will not come off as easily as you think! Glueless wigs can look better than any wig if worn correctly and bought by the right vendor! There are youtube videos if you care to watch them about glueless wigs!

Goodluck! And if you have any questions please dont hesitate to shoot me a PM!

Are you butthurt from the ignorance, too?

thanks for the reply lynette

i have never heard of glueless wigs, i thought all wigs had clips underneath, at least this is what i had in mind when it comes to wigs?

Reason why i go for curly is for it not to look so fake and i think it suits me a bit bitter than just straight hair.

Curly and wavy synthies look natural when kinda worn in.

Hmm i always think its too obvious with the fake ones. Because of the colour and shine on some of them.
