Would coconut oil be too heavy? I like to use that oil a lot but I wonder if it's safe on freshly pressed hair. I only have a tiny amount of jojoba oil left ... Just ordered my Sedu flat iron yesterday and I can't wait to use it!

Coconut oil is GREAT for pressed hair because it's so light and it penetrates...

I'm happy to hear that! I have a huge jar to go through. Just to be absolutely clear, I can apply directly on my hair AFTER pressing without my hair reverting? Or do you use it strictly on the scalp when the hair is pressed? I just finished anothre thread on the topic and it got me confused

Yes you can, and it wont revert, its oilLOL

I use a very small amount on my ends every night before I wrap my hair up...

Unless you have dry scalp you really wouldn't really need to apply it to your scalp because your hair is straight and your natural sebum will be able to reach your midshaft with some brushing...

Actually right after pressing I prefer to use the sally's Argan Oil or Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum before I do a silk wrap to smooth out my ends even more...

The coconut oil on the following days is for moisture....
