ladies
your welcome, some of the information is a bit outdated since SLW have become more popular due to the state of the economy everyone is looking for a good deal, but remember flw can almost be as responsibly priced as slw

Am new to this site, but not new to lace front wig. When i started fixing Lace front wig, all my front hair vanished due to the type of bonding used. I have since stopped and now am on Peruvian hair and i fix it round so i can style it however i like. Browsing discussions today, i found out there are other types of adhesives for attachments that I've never heard about here in Nigeria. Would love to get hold on some of these products. Any suggestion on how to go about it cos i dont use credit cards, yet.Cry

So I have one synthetic lace front wig that I bought for the purposes of swimming since I didn't want to put my human hair wigs through all that wear and tear. So about two years ago I bought the Kimora wig by Bev Johnson which was pretty decent when it was new but I about near killed her on my last vacation to Hawaii. She was a tangled mess, the curls were not 'popping' when I got back from that trip and I stashed her away without nary a thought.

So now I am going to Miami next week for a vacation so I wondered if I could revive her (she is going to be my scuba wig). I went on Youtube and learned about boiling wigs with curlers in order to reset the curls. I did that but I had quite a bit of frizz and loose curls in a few places. So I decided to re-roll those areas and use my caruso steam curler instead of dunking the whole unit in boiling water. I also decided to use a little bit of mousse to control the frizz. Anyway, I got quite an unexpected surprise. The sections that I had used the mouse came out heavily texturized, like kinky straight. I was really excited about that because I usually wear kinky straight or italian yaki units anyway. One of my pet peeves about synthetic hair was the unnatural silky shininess. Now I have perfect kinky straight roller set hair!

It is the mousse that makes the difference (I don't know why) but if I steam the hair without the mousse, it maintains the silkiness.

I'll post pics later but I wanted to share this tip for anyone who might be interested.

That is fantastic. I was thinking about doing little braids and then dunking the wig in hot water ( in a ziploc bag). I will definitely try that.

Celie

I have the Misswigs J long and I have bought two.  #1 and 4/30.  I love them both.  I used the curle pudding leave-in conditioner and detangler to tone down just a little.  this hair loves the stuff.  It is not sticky at all.  The more I wash them the better they get.  I know weird for a synthetic.  I love these two though.  I am going to purchase one from Friday Night hair soon.
