Topic: Question about Sam's wefting..not his contact info Posted: Feb 21 2012 at 10:12am |
|
I have a question for those who use Sam for wefting. I've used him for bulk hair but not hair that was already wedged (and it's been awhile). I'm planning to send my bobraz to him. Does anybody know if he still DOESNT draw out the strands.....meaning he doesn't pull out the short hairs so that your bundles are all 1 length. Also, is it even worth splitting the wefts (something I normally do with this hair)? I'm thinking with him rewefting (not teinforcinging) the number/length is wefts I get back from him is going to depend entirely on how dense he makes the wefts....
Thoughts?
TIA!

I'm not sure if he draws the shorter hairs from the bundle. I think you can request whatever your preference. I should have asked him for denser wefts (like full installs without doubling) but the density was lighter than I prefer. Wefts were still PHENOM but in the future I will specify the density of the weft.
You are absolutely correct on the density/weft length correlation. Ask for what you prefer and he will oblige.

I know this is a silly quuesion but if you were interested in having him reweft old hair ( I have old wags from 2010), do you send him the hair still on the weft or would I have to do something to the hair?

I'm gonna be sending some hair to him in the near future. I'm worrying about if asking for more dense wefts will cause me to have thicker wefts, as in bulky-under-install wefts. What do you think?

You don't ask for thicker wefts....you ask for your preferred density on the wefts. His wefts are not bulky ever.....regardless of the density.

He told me to just send the hair. In my case I had hair from different vendors and lengths. I grouped according to curl pattern and length and he wefted as I requested. He will cut the hair from the weft.

Is there technical language for this? Or do I say, "make them really dense"? lol

Thanks ladies. Since I know I like the density of bobraz split wefts, I think I'll split the wefts and ask him to keep the density the same. I wouldn't mind buying another pack since I think I'll get my money's work with rewefting. But everybody is sold out online. :( My concern was I don't want to split the wefts thinking I'll have enough for a full install and I'm back at the equiv of 1 pack after he rewefts. Like missy said, you send him the hair on the wefts and he will do his thing. I'm sending unused wefts. If I remember correctly, you can expect to loose about 1" and .5 oz per 8oz of rewefted hair.

I would just describe what you want. If you know the number of oz you want on a specific length you can convey this to him. He's very easy to talk to and I would discuss it via the phone and then send detailed instructions with the product. He doesn't weft, Ximora does so this ensures she is aware of what was discussed.

I'll post my thinner wefts versus my nice density wefts when I get home so you all can see. The textures are different (virgin/KS) but at least you will have a visual.
