has anyone received good retention and thicker hair with mini braids. i plan to wear mini braids doing it over every three weeks till June.

You can but you have to make sure the braider doesn't braid too tightly because it'll cause hairloss. I used to wear mini braids for years on end and for the most part my hair was fine with them. But they braided too tightly by my front hairline. The last time I wore braids was in 2005/2006...and to this day the front of my hairline is still a bit thin.

Wear your braids girl
as mentioned above make sure theyre not too tight
Rub some castor oil around the hairline
and youll be fine
