Topic: kid's organics Posted: Sep 16 2008 at 11:02pm |
I have been using Kids organics shea butter lotion on my 20 month old daughter's hair and I am noticing that it looks very moisturized soon after it is applied but after an hour it looks soo dry and it leaves this residue in her hair even when it is freshly shampooed.Has any one else encountered this problem with this product? It's becoming real frustrating finding something that works for her dry hair.

yes, i even called the company that makes the item , they told me its the shea butter ? but if you read the label , the shea butter isnt the highest level of ingried.. i was told to shake the bottle before applying each time , use dime size amounts etc.. i like the item it has really worked for my daughter very dry curly hair , but hate the white stuff, i also notice if i use the detangler it helps with the residue also use the new shea growth lotion , not sure yet only a few days ..

Thank you so much India for posting this. So you experienced the same issue?I never shook the bottle so that may be one issue. Do you use another product to help with the residue if so what product is it?

My 10 month old (shown in the avi) daughters hair is very soft and curly, except in the back its kinda kinky back there LOL. I use baby love detanler cuz this chiles has to be the most tender headed chile in da world. Then I use natures blessings on the kitchen. Works well and its grows her hair too do buildup.

tkm06, I had this same problem with my 10 month old hair- I do not like the kids organics lotion, his hair was always dry a hour later- and the residue is a mess- I felt like I needed to wash his every time I used this stuff- plus its runny to me- even on my hair, I got the same results- so i throw that mess out - and purchased a VERY good moisturizer for Claudies- this product is the bomb- I use it on my son and mine and detangles so fast - a lil goes a long way -
