    Posted: Jan 06 2012 at 12:55am
I am african american, and experienced complete hair loss,I want to purchase my second unit now..i really like italian yaki texture, which most like my natural hair..
this is one italian yaki pictures i found:

I really impressed by this unit..love the texture.! but it seems so thick.., the density seems like 150% or 180% ?..

This is another one:
            Italian yaki

I am not sure if it's the same texture..but i really like their cap construction.

                Italian yaki full lace wig

This is the glueless wig, i do need one glueless wig cap, my last wig need glue, i HATE glue!!!

                    Italian yaki glueless lace wigs
I like the small combs..

the hairline is beautiful!!, i don't know what's the silk top,but they charge extra $30 for silk top!!! is it reasonable?? Is the bleached knots useful ?

Ladies, can you tell me something about the Italian yaki? I need your help and suggestion!!! I want my unit last longer time, It's a big investment for me.

I like IY, not as coarse a KS but, I get light density units.  But sometimes if you flat iron the hair, it won't appear to be so thick.

I prefer the look of the 2nd wig.  It looks like finely textured AA hair that has been blown dry.  I've not purchased an IY as of yet, but the thread that Princess Grace posted should answer some of your questions.

Here's another thread for example only (no vendor pushing Smile):

They do look more natural. But for myself I wear wigs because I dont like to do all that extra work to my own hair and A wig is much easier so I get hair that has a easy up keep.

OP, if you have complete hair loss, won't those little combs become bothersome?

I wear kinky straight and coarse Yaki units. I love them they mimic my natural hair the best. As so for density, I like to get customs with extra light (60-70%) at the hair line to medium density for the rest. I don't use glue either. I use Tootsie's method.

I hear ya on that, but I'd still like to try one.  There was a unit that AM posted awhile back that had me drooling, can't remember if it was a KS or IY. Big smile  I also really liked the way ChicFrenchy's unit turned out that she had braided and permed into an IY.
