Topic: It stings a tad but my Eczema is losing Posted: Oct 14 2011 at 4:50pm |
Ok, I've posted a lot asking questions or suggesting things but I forgot about things that work and stay working. So, I forgot that recently I applied rubbing alcohol 91% (non-diluted )
onto all my spots that had been scarring, oozing, and getting itchy
over and over again. I made a fist to numb the stinging sensation on my
inner elbows. I woke up right now and realized everything's normalizing! No risen scars, bumps, open oozing, or itchiness. And in the past I have done the same with Apple Cider Vinegar stinging the hell out of me and seen the same. So I'll just suggest trying it diluted for anyone else out there. But just I'd share the news

Ouch it does sound stingy, you can also try to rub some vitamin e oil on your skin, this works well for my little one for those patch dry bits she's got on her body.

I have done this a few times using ACV..as soon as my scalp starts itching or I feel it scaling..I just put the ACV versus picking and scratching (eww..sounds gross..sawry). Anyways, it does sting a tinge but it does the trick. I haven't been scratching or picking my scalp lately so it actually has time to heal. I'm going to start doing this more often:) THanks!

Do you have eczema that responds to crisco?

Omg, people have actually been looking at this? lol
I haven't tried crisco but lotions and butters do not back down in the face of my eczema. Apple Cider and Alcohol are the only the things comparable to the steroid meds I used to take.
It stings but I pat the hell out of my skin for at least a minute and then do it again another night. And then my scales dry out and normal skin comes back.

Hey all! I've tried using unflavored vodka recently and my skin is responding really well and really fast!
I also wanted to add that when I do soak my skin I do so immediately after I shower. Then I lotion. I seal the heal.
