Take it for what it's worth cause I don't use the stuff, but my friend that I buy glue from at the hair replacement place says to take it off the scalp--NOT the unit--, she puts baking soda on the clients scalp first and then rubs it off with a towel and that removes a good bit of the glue. I was asking her about the ghost bond to see if she had the new one and she did in the big containers she uses on clients but not in small bottles. I didn't get it. That clean up still gives me pause. She even says the hold is great, and there is very little residue on the lace so it can prolong the life of the units, but she has to use the baking soda , then the oily citrus solvent THEN 91% alcohol to remove all the residue from the client's scalp. She's a professional so I figure she's using nice thin layers of as little glue as possible too. That's too much work for me. And too much wear and tear on my scalp.

Thanks for the baking soda tip!  I find that sometimes removing GB from my skin is a breeze, and at other times it's a beotch.    I use adhesive remover pads and Pond's Cold Cream to remove GB from my skin, I don't mess with alcohol.  After that I use Dawn to get rid of the oil and an apricot scrub.

It's too late at night for me to truly comprehend what you just said, so I will store it in my brain and try to understand it in the morning.  I would think baking soda would be a bit rough on my skin, but...

Motions spray oil conditioner also helps to remove GB.

So, I've tried removing GB with a paste of baking soda and water, and, it really works!  It removes most if not all of the GB from the skin.  I don't use alcohol, I agree that's a bit too harsh, but I do use apricot scrub and follow-up with Dawn if I need to.  Thumbs Up

I will definitely try this when I take my wig off. Because the first time I took off the ghostbond xl, I had a dark ring across my forehead, but the woman I spoke to said it was from my scrubbing to get the ghostbond off my scalp.
However she did tell me that the product 'ultra safe' that's in the misc section is specifically for removing ghostbond.

Definitely try the baking soda first.  It is a messy cleanup, but it worked really well for me.

Kaai, the baking soda is also a great GB remover, it works like a charm!  Chromedome also suggested awhile ago about using baking soda as a prep before applyling GB.
