Hello All -

I am having a serious issue with a chinese lite yaki I have.  The texture is beautiful in the respect that it is very natural... full and extremely believeable.  However... smh... if I so much as turn to the left, it matts up terribly!  I feel asleep on the express bus (and my head was resting on the headrest).... sweet jesus... when I put my hand back there to straighten it out, I think I lost a finger nail!

What can I do about it?  I've heard about "cowboy magic" but not sure if I can get a hold of it... nevermind getting it now.  Is there a quick fix?  It matts from the crown down to the nape (so its not just the neckline!)... what can I do???

Any suggestions, I would really appreciate.  I looooooove this unit!  I have a custom dye job on it that is just off the eff'n chain!  But if I keep this up, I would have combed all the highlights out within a week!

Thanks Double...!
Hmmmmmm... forgot about the bleach bath... I will try that!  Now the aphogee, I actually have at home.  I've never heard of using that one.  Would I use it the same way I used the aphogee on my natural hair?

before you bleach bath it.. I suggest giving it a chance to act right. try an Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse. or perhaps you can wash it with a clarifing shampoo and give it a good long cold rinse (5 minutes at the very least)  perhaps you can add your styling products to the hair while it is still wet and let it dry in  hth  it all else fails   take it to the bleach bath
Can't we all just Get along

Thanks NeedTresses!  I actually tried the Apple Cider Rinse six months ago and it didnt help this unit.  I just found it (behind some ish in the closet this weekend and was like... wow... what's this???  I forgot all about it)!  But when I put it on... then I said... "Ohhh Now I remember!".
I just watch a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpKJq5VH0Qk on bleach baths but she was doing weaving hair... I was wondering... Can I dip the lace in the bleach bath too or will it harm the lace?  Do you know what other precautions I need to take, if any, before I do this?

Thanks sooooo much for all this help!

Sounds like your unit is ready for a bleach bath. I did this to one of my units a couple weeks ago; it came out tangle free.
