I heard pressing combs last longer than flat irons??? Not the tool but the style. Is this true? Sorry if someone asked this question already.

I use an old school hot comb that works great, but I'm planning on buying a electric hot comb in the near future.

I've always used an Electric Pressing comb (unless a stylist at the salon uses one). Also at the salon I may let them just flat iron it straight, but even then I go home and touch up my edges with my pressing comb becasue I can get closer with out being scared someone is gonna burn me lol
Who ever asked about using a pressing comb on relaxed hair, BE CAREFUL OF DOUBLE PROCESSING. For example your roots may need high heat but the relaxed part shouldn't so be gentle with it. You know your own hair so you should know what it can take. I suffered major breakage after my one and only relaxer because of still trying to do a hard press on hair that didn't need it.

This maybe an old thread but for ANYBODY who comes in here wondering if they should use an electrical pressing come---DON'T DO THAT!!! I'm telling you. These things get way too hot and most of the time you can't control the heat. Just use the old school pressing comb.

I guess just like with everything else on BHM it depends on your experience.
