I have always wanted dimples for as long as I can remember.  I think it started because I have an older cousin who's close to me in age and growing up together I always wanted to be like her.  Plus, there's something about them that always gets to me.  Seriously every guy I've ever had a problem getting over or saying no to had dimples. Tongue

Anyway, there's a simple outpatient procedure you can get done that will give you dimples, and I was considering having it done.  Click the link to watch the procedure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mDpxJZptHU

But ever since I started thinking about it, I started really looking at people's dimples and here's what I noticed:
1.) Dimples are not as rare as I thought they were.  Apparently tons of people have them.  Still, those people seem to stand out to me.
2.) It could just be me, but I find that dimples make men way more attractive than women.  Obviously that could be attributed to sexual preference since I'm straight, but when I look at women with dimples, it seems that it doesn't seem to enhance their features the same way it does with men.  For me, few women are exceptions (i.e. Gabrielle Union, Lauren London, etc.), but it could also depend on face shape, since Jennifer Garner has dimples and I think they look nice on her.

Anyhoo, I would want to get dimples like Gabrielle Union's, since I think that we have a similar look and face shape, and I think that they could enhance my smile.  Not 100% sure yet if this is something I want to do since the procedure is not really reversible, and it's my face so people would see it every day.

What do you guys think?  Has anyone had this procedure done or know someone who has?  Would you do it?

Aww I have always admired dimples but I would just be way to scared to alter my facial muscles for fear of losing sensation or something....but he made that procedure look soooo easy

I think the surgery costs anywhere from $1500-$2500 per dimple depending on where you go.  A little expensive but I think it would be worth it Smile

LOL I thought I was the only person looking into this procedure. I want dimples soooo bad. People tell me I'm crazy to even think of spending so much money on such a thing but dimples are the cutest thing to me. OP have you ever looked into dimple piercings? They are cheek piercings that create dimples even if you dont have them and they are super cute. I plan to get them soon.

I plan to get mine sometime next month. When are you getting yours? Would you mind showing a pic of how they look? I don't see many people with them and want to get them before they become a trend.

I don't think I could ever get dimple piercings.  I have a SUPER low tolerance for pain and I can't ever imagine having piercings in my face.  I just remember when I got multiple piercings in my ears and how it was constantly painful for weeks while they were healing. Confused  I like the fact that with the dimple surgery there's no incisions or marks on the outside so they have a natural look to them, but I think dimple piercings can be cute on some girls if that's their look.  Here's a collage of some dimple piercing pics so you guys can see what they look like:
